Are you affiliated with any denomination?
As a community church technically, no, we are not affiliated with a denomination and consider ourselves non-denominational. We are affiliated with several associations including the Willow Creek Association, an interdenominational organization dedicated to effective contemporary church growth.
How long has River Point been around?
River Point Community Church was founded in 2001. Feel free to read more about our story.
What do you offer for adults?
We offer a number of options for adults to grow in the Lord and develop real and relevant relationships.
Our primary emphasis is in the area of building community. We believe that community is best facilitated in small group settings which we aptly call community groups. Groups serve two purposes: they provide an outstanding opportunity for the study of the Bible and they offer an environment which facilitates building relationships.
Another option is Discipleship which is offered in three different progressive courses; The Learner, The Laborer and The Leader. Discipleship is available for men and women and meeting times are flexible. If you are interested in Discipleship, please email the Church Office.
Ministry Teams play a huge role at RPCC. Involvement in a Ministry Area is encouraged based upon your Spiritual Gifts. Adults can get involved in a myriad of ministries ranging from Nursery Care to Elderly Assistance to Sunday Camera Work to Teen Small Group Leaders. Many folks at River Point have created close relationships from the bonds they encounter by getting involved in Ministry Teams.
What do you offer children?
In God's Big Backyard, RPCC's Children's Ministry, we offer a variety of children's activities and discipleship opportunities throughout the year. Besides our Sunday Morning Ministry during our Worship Service, we offer exciting Wednesday Night Activities as well. Wednesday Nights focus on discipleship and prepare children for interaction with not only their friends, but for their peers, adults and the unchurched.
What do you offer teenagers?
River Point Student Ministries offers an exciting place for all 7th-12th graders to connect not only with the Lord, but also with each other. Our Student Ministry team is composed of parent and adults who specifically address the needs of students. Ongoing midweek (RUSH) and Sunday ministry times are held weekly as well as student retreats and mission projects throughout the year.
